BFCLTPL storage tank terminal is situated at, with total of 20675 M.T crude oil edible grade storage capacities. The Company’s assets are strategically located just 12 km from Kandla Port. BFCLTPL is a 100 % subsidiary of Bharat Foods Cooperative Limited. We provide customers with a full suite of services oil storage and transportation services.

The group is promoted by M/s Bharat Foods Co-operative Limited who has experienced and well known business Company of edible oil refinery in their field. For the setting up of terminal the company acquired land about 3.50 acres which is sufficient for a capacity of 50000 MT.

As part of BFCLTPL’S ongoing efforts to better serve its customers, the Company continues to expand its oil storage capacity. The Company is increasing its storage capacity tank by adding 1800 M.T storage, which will increase total capacity to approximately 23000 M.T after completion. The additional tank will be completed and commissioned in phase 2, beginning at year end 2017. The new capacity will increase BFCLTPLs total number of tanks to over 7 tanks, ranging in size from 1600 M.T-5600 M.T s.

BFCLTPL is an independent tank storage company. We operate near Kandla port located at strategic locations along major trade routes. With a strong focus on safety and sustainability, we ensure efficient, safe and clean storage and handling of bulk liquid products for our customers.

BFCL terminal private limited perform storage & handing of edible oil via internal pipeline of 12.5 kms laid from oil jetty section of Kandla port.

BFCLTPL is 100% owned by Bharat Foods Co.operative Limited. We employ a centralized management structure in which each facility functions as an autonomous Profit Centre.

BFCLTPL is backed and promoted by renowned company namely M/s Bharat Foods Co-operative Limited. This company has an enriched experience of more than 15 years in the edible oil industry and is one of the leading players of the oil industry in Gandhidham.


Standard Class Storage Terminal in Kandla Port

1. Capacity and Operations Summary

Pipeline

This terminal consists of 14”, & 3” pipeline from ‘Y’ Junction at KPT oil Jetty at New Kandla of about 12.50 km. BFCLTPL has a tank of various/ capacity ranging between 2000 MT to 5000 MT aggregating to 20000 MT.  Pipeline has been laid for the tank farm from ‘Y’ junction at oil jetty to Tank farm installation. All pipe lines are laid on pedestal from ‘Y’ junction to installations at Survey No. 189, Mithirohar, Gandhidham (Kandla).

Intermediate booster pumping station is installed with all facility such as pump/s of required capacity, stand by pump, DG, power, valves for controlled compressor, etc,. Required for necessary pumping of oil. All specification of pipes/valves/pumps/ structural steel, etc, required for pipeline are as per IS conformity to respective Codes.

Cleaning of pipeline is done by pigging operation for which 3” (80mm) diameter pipeline will be used where compressed air is blown by using suitable compressor.

Our docks and pipelines connect to centre of Village Mithirohar which is the easily access to nearby oil industries by tanker transport, enabling us to load and unload vessels or transport quickly and efficiently. We offer the following storage capacity and transportation options to our customers:

Over 20000 metric ton of storage capacity; 6 tanks ranging in size from 1500-2000 metric ton.


5. Pipeline Flexibility

With our 14” & 3” pipeline from ‘Y’ Junction at Kandla Port oil Jetty at New Kandla of about 12.50 km. of pipelines, we reduce pollution risk while providing pipeline connectivity. Crude oil can be received in shore as rapidly as 400 metric ton per hour pipelines.

Kandla port is very good advantageous environment to handle the oil import. Moreover the port is now well developed and maintain amicable business environment.

Presently Kandla port is having very well infrastructure arrangement for unloading and systematic handling of petroleum products and other edible oil cargos in oil jetty and transfer the products by pumping through piping.

Suitable booster pump stations are to be planned to boost the edible oil transfer and reach the storage tank at plant.

Based on the vessel pumping capacity of the booster pump stations location shall be planned.
